温泉は、勉強の場

温泉ではみなさん開放感にひたっているので、話しかけるいい機会です。
情報交換の場、勉強の場となります。

鬼怒川温泉での会話です。
ーー「こんにちは。わたしは川越からですが、どちらからですか?」
*まず、自分がどこからきたかを告げます。

若いお父さん:
「春日部から来ました。子供を連れての日帰りです。
よくプールと温泉を利用します。」
*春日部から鬼怒川温泉まで自動車で2時間です。

とび職の人たちの会話
「会社はどんな苦しくてもやめちゃだめ。
2度と就職できないから。」
*実感がこもった世間話でした。

長野県・松本からの人:
「5時間ほどかけて来ました。
今日は東照宮ですが、雪で助かりました。
花粉症なので、杉並木が苦手なんです。」
*日光へ行くときは、杉花粉対策も。

ニューヨークからの若い女性:
「日光を回りました。
世界遺産なのに英語の説明が少なくて、よくわかりませんでした。」
*「左側通行」「トイレ」の案内板には、外国語がないのがあります。

同じ女性:
「ホテルの天ぷらを塩でいただくのがおいしかったです。
釜飯も好きになりました。
納豆も、チーズのようで、大丈夫です。」
*最近の西欧人は何でも食べるようになりました。

上野公園の合格大仏


上野に合格大仏がいます。
頭だけの大仏です。

4度も地震や火災に会い、頭だけが残りました。

頭だけなので、これ以上落ちることがないということで「合格大仏」として受験生に人気があります。

上野精養軒の隣の大仏パゴダの横に鎮座しています。

川越高校のクスノキ(楠)


川越高校(かわたか)のシンボルは、クスノキです。
学園祭も「くすのき祭」といわれます。

行事、イベントに命をかけるので有名です。
「ウオーターボーイズ」 は映画化されました。

冲方丁(うぶかた とう)は、川越高校時代に渋川春海(しぶかわはるみ)に出会い、
のちに『天地明察』をあらわしました。
2010年『天地明察』は、吉川英治文学新人賞、本屋大賞を受賞しました。

渋川春海は、日本独自の暦を作りあげた天文学者です。本職は囲碁棋士です。
《*3代家光の弟、保科正之は、徳川幕府の影の総裁でした。
渋川春海は末尾では思わぬ政治力で夢を遂げます。》

――高校に進学してからは。

冲方:
高校は川越高校という、『ウォーターボーイズ』のモデルとなった学校だったんです。
部活がヘンなことをしていましたね。
男子校なので基本的には女の子にモテるためにはどうしたらいいだろうというのが第一命題(笑)。
それぞれの知力を尽くしてバカなことをやっていました。

僕は美術部と同好会に入っていました。
当時バーチャルリアリティーという言葉が流行っていたので、仮想現実同好会という名前だったんですが、まあメディアを学ぶということが主旨でした。

当時は活字離れということが言われていたんですが、僕らのリアリティからすると小説もゲームやアニメや映画も全部並列してあって、活字離れというより、漫画や小説の違いがなくなってフラットになってきた、という感覚だったんです。



冲方:
そうです。川越高校はヘンな学校で、夢を実現するために今から頑張ろうという空気があったんですね。
たいてい大学に入るとノリが合わなくて絶望すると言われていて、みんな高校時代のうちに自分が何者になるか、深く考えるようになる。

自己実現に対して貪欲な学校だったんですね。
だから受験勉強と同時に、この小説を書き上げないと自分は卒業できないんじゃないかっていう気持ちがありました。
そんなわけないのに(笑)。
毎日小説を書いて、だんだんそっちのほうが重要になっていました。美術部で油絵を描くのはもうやめていましたし。

オモト(万年青)

オモト(万年青)は、常緑の多年草です。
鉢に植えて育てます。
実は赤く鳥が好みます。
赤い実と緑の葉のコントラストで人気があります。
1年中葉が緑であるので、「万年青」と書くようになりました。

コチョウラン(胡蝶蘭、moth orchid)



コチョウラン(胡蝶蘭、moth orchid)は、チョウの舞っている姿に似ているところから名前がつけられました。

あでやかで長持ちするので、開店祝いなどに贈られます。

カーネーション


カーネーション(carnation)には、1年中咲く品種もでています。

carnationは、もともと肉色で、「肉色の花」のことです。
carnival(カーニバル、謝肉祭)のcarn-(肉)と同根です。

カラー


カラー(calla lilies)は、紙をくるりと巻いたような筒状の清楚な花です。
地下に球根ができます。
サトイモ科です。

ボケ


ボケは、バラ科ですのでとげに注意する必要があります。

寒さにも暑さにも強い植物です。
日当たりの良いところを好みます。

漢名の木瓜(モッカ)が、ボケに変化したといわれています。

親鸞の「悪人こそ救われる」とは?

親鸞の思想の根本は、悪人正機(あくにんしょうき)説です。
悪人こそが極楽浄土へ行ける、というものです。
「善人なおもて往生をとぐ、いわんや悪人をや」


親鸞の「善悪」は今とはちがいます。

ここで、善人とは聖人のような人で、貴族などの高貴な人々のことです。
善人は1万人に1人もいません。
善人は仏道に励むお金も時間も教養もあるので、浄土へ行くことができます。


悪人とは、他力救済に頼む人々のことです。


ふつうの人々は、いままでの国家仏教では、救われませんでした。
生きるために生き物を殺したりしていたからです。
これを救われるとしたのが親鸞です。

浄土真宗における善人とは自力救済に励む人々を指し、
悪人とは他力救済に頼む人々を指します。


親鸞は、国家(= 上流階級)の秩序を乱すとして、越後へ流されました。


※ 「悪」とは

「悪」には、荒々しい、との賞賛の気持が込められることもありました。
「悪源太」は 源義平(よしひら、頼朝らの異母兄)の異名です。

ユリ(lily)は、茎を高く伸ばし、ロート状の花を咲かせます。

食用や薬用になります。

「立てばシャクヤク、座ればボタン、歩く姿はユリの花」とは、美女の形容です。

◇表示桁数の設定
1.今表示しているウィンドウに合わせる場合は、「表示」メニューの「折り返し桁指定」に、ウィンドウサイズに合わせる指定が表示されるので、選択する。
2.桁数を数値で指定する場合は、「表示」メニューの「オプション」を選択し、「オプション」ウィンドウを開く。
3.「基本」タブの「指定の桁数で折り返し」にチェックがあることを確認し、その下の桁数の値を設定して「OK」ボタンをクリック。

◇表示文字コードと改行の設定
1.「表示」メニューの「オプション」を選択し、「オプション」ウィンドウを開く。

1.プログラムを終了した状態で、インストール先フォルダの「Terapad.ini」を削除する。


◇行番号の表示/非表示
1.「表示」メニューの「オプション」を選択し、「オプション」ウィンドウを開く。
2.「ルーラー/行番号」タブを選択して、「行番号を表示する」のチェックをオン/オフする。標準モードで使用するときに「行番号を表示する」がオンでも「標準モード時は非表示」のチェックがオンだと、表示されないので、チェックをはずす。
3.「論理行で行番号を表示する」がオンだと、改行コードまでを1行として行番号が表示される。
★「標準モード」は、普通の文章のテキストファイル編集って感じかな。「表示」メニューの「編集モード」から、いろいろ選択できる。標準の他は、HTMLやプログラミング言語なんかがあるな。


◇ウィンドウのサイズと表示位置
1.「表示」メニューから「オプション」を選択して「ウィンドウ」タブを選択する。
2.「状態」として「終了時のサイズと位置を復元」に変更すると、次からの起動時に前回終了時の位置とサイズになる。
3.「状態」として「ユーザー指定」にすると、好きな位置とサイズで起動するように設定できる。

長野県の3大山脈


飛騨山脈、木曽山脈、赤石(あかいし)山脈は日本アルプスと総称されます。

飛騨山脈は、北アルプスともよばれます。
深い峡谷とノコギリの歯状の3000メートル級の山々が続きます。
フォッサマグナの西端にあたり、火山が多いです。
中心に黒部峡谷があります。
白馬(しろうま)岳、立山(たてやま)、槍ヶ岳、穂高(ほたか)岳、乗鞍(のりくら)岳などの山々があります。

木曽山脈は、中央アルプスともよばれます。
単純な1列からなり、駒ヶ岳が最高峰です。

赤石山脈は、南アルプスともよばれます。
北アルプスよりなだらかです。新しく隆起した山であるため、浸食が進んでいないからです。
ここから流下する河川には、富士川、安部(あべ)川、大井川、天竜川などがあり、いずれも急流です。

冬から春にかけて白や黄の花を咲かせます。

英語では、narcissus(ナーサス)といいます。
湖に映る自分の姿にほれ、花になってしまった若者に由来します。

エノケン似の伊藤泰吉川越市長。1946年(昭和21年)より

旧・鶴川座は、蓮馨寺(れんけいじ)前にあります。
1890年建設の築120年以上の元芝居小屋です。
首都圏に現存する唯一の木造芝居小屋です。
芝居小屋、映画館、事務所、ライブハウスを経て、現在は廃墟となっています。

全国芝居小屋会議では、鶴川座保存の2007年決議文を出しました。
【要約】
「旧鶴川座は、首都圏に残る唯一の木造芝居小屋と推定されます。
これを再生し活用することは蔵造りの町・川越の魅力をさらに高め、文化活動の発信源として新たな展開をもたらすはずです。
旧鶴川座が伝統的芝居小屋として歴史的根拠に基づき復原され、保存・活用され、芝居小屋会議の一員として、共に活動する日が一日でも早く訪れることを心から望みます。」

2008年には、JATET木造劇場研究会は次のような議論をしました。

・復原にあたっての法律的な問題は?
・どのように復原し、どのように維持活用したらよいか。
・音響的には、現在の屋根が鉄板葺であるために、雨音が大きい。
・芝居小屋の両隣が民家であり、劇場で大きな音を出すためには、何か対策が必要である。


仮面ライダーの撮影が行われたこともあります。

楽屋には明治時代の新聞がはられていたり、当時の役者の落書きが残ります。
