中村寅吉（とらきち）は、日本プロゴルフの父とよばれています。

1957年に川越市霞ヶ関カンツリーでのカナダカップ（のちのワールドカップ）に出場。小野光一と団体戦、個人戦で優勝をかざりました。

これがきっかけとなって、高度成長と相まって、ゴルフ人気が爆発しました。

樋口久子を川越でイチから育て上げました。

身長158cmと体格に恵まれなかったために，スウィングに独特の二段モーションと呼吸法を取り入れ飛距離をのばしました。

自己流のスイングは、青木功のスナップ スイング、杉原輝雄の五角形スイングにも見られます。

Torakichi Nakamura is the father of Japan Pro Golf.

In 1957 he participated in a Canadian Cup (later World Cup) at Kasumigaseki Country in Kawagoe City. 

Torakichi Nakamura and Koichi Ono I won the victory in the group tournament and Torakichi Nakamur won individual tournament.

This triggered the explosion of golf popularity in

 Japan.

He raised Hisako Higuchi in Kawagoe.

Because he was 158 cm tall and not physically strong, he adopted a unique two-step motion and breathing method for the swing and extended the flight distance.

Self-taught swings were also seen in Aoki Isao's snap swing, Sugihara Teruo's pentagram swing.
