「えみし」、「えぞ」、「アイヌ」の関係は? Emishi, Ezo and Ainu

「えみし」、「えぞ」、「アイヌ」の関係はどうなっていますか?

東北地方に住み、言葉や風俗が違う人は、奈良時代には「蝦夷（えみし）」とよばれました。
かれらはほぼ日本人で、平安時代には、朝廷の支配下におかれるようになりました。

やがて、朝廷の支配がおよばなかった東北、北海道などの人々（アイヌ、日本人）は「蝦夷（えぞ）」とよばれるようになりました。

現代では、「蝦夷（えぞ）」はアイヌのみをさすようになっています。



People who live in the Tohoku region and whose language and customs are different were called "Emishi" in the Nara period.
They are almost Japanese, and they came to be under the control of the court during the Heian Government.

People such as Tohoku, Hokkaido where control of the government did not reach soon came to be called "Ezo ".

In modern times, "Ezo" is supposed to only show the Ainu.
