フランコ（フランシスコ＝。 1892〜1975/11/20）は、スペインの軍人・政治家です。
1936年、スペインに王政を廃止した人民戦線政府（労働者側、ソ連の援助）が成立します。
ヘミングウェイ、オーウェルも参加します。
フランコ将軍が王党派、地主層の支持で反乱を起こします。
ドイツのヒットラー、イタリアのムッソリーニはフランコを支援しました。
イギリス、フランスは、不干渉で何もしませんでした。

このあと、日独伊 三国軍事同盟が結ばれていきます。
